Roopak Patel worked in the IT Security industry for over ten years and more specifically focused on delivering security, identity, and networking solutions to global enterprises as well as mid-market and SMB’s. He has held product management leadership roles over this span and has expertise in multiple domains including security monitoring including advanced malware detection, identity and access management, application performance management, networking deployment and optimization, security analytics and user behavior monitoring. Before his industry work, Roopak was a naval officer in the US Navy submarine force. He holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan and an MBA from Santa Clara University as well as CISSP and SAFE certifications. At Delinea, Roopak’s focus is on taking the Privileged Access Management security portfolio to the next level by protecting servers, workstations, and cloud assets access as the center piece for keeping customers secure. Roopak also works on the broader strategy around identity and data as center points for building a secure framework for enterprise operations. In his free time, Roopak is busy being a dad to 16-year-old twins and likes to explore coastal trails, lighthouses, and historical sites with his spouse and two Havanese fur babies.
