Charles Garzoni serves as the Deputy Chief Information Security Officer for Centene and is the Staff Vice President of Cyber Defense Operations. CDO is tasked with protecting Centene employees and infrastructure from cyber threats through mitigating vulnerabilities, investigating malicious cyber activity, and helping Centene organizations and subsidiaries sustain resilience in the face of cyber incidents affecting the healthcare industry.

Prior to Centene, Charlie was with the FBI Cyber Division where he held a number of roles including Incident Response Director and Coordinator and the Chief of Threat Analysis for an FBI led cyber task force. He was also assigned as the FBI representative to the US Cyberspace Solarium Commission under Senator Angus King and Congressman Gallagher where he helped draft over 80 recommendations on cyber strategy to the President of the United States and Congress, while also previously assigned to the White House to help author Presidential Policy Directive (PPD) 41 on Incident Coordination. Charlie was also a senior leader and reserve Special Agent with the Air Force Office of Special Investigations (OSI), where he led cyber related investigations against both nation-state and criminal threat actors.

Charlie received a Graduate certificate from Carnegie Melon University’s Heinz College of Information Systems and Public Policy, a Bachelor’s degree in Human Relations from Golden Gate University as well as both science and arts degrees from Sierra College and the Community College of the Air Force.
