Prior to relaunching  Polynia Advisory in the United States, Ria served as Head of Enterprise Resilience – Strategy & Governance at Truist, a top 10 U.S. bank, after previously leading Cyber Organizational Resilience. Over the course of her 25 year career, she has led cyber, resilience, crisis management, and counterterrorism practices for multiple U.S. and U.K. consulting firms, including as Partner and Global Co-Lead, with responsibility across the U.S., U.K., Europe, Middle East, and Asia.

Ria has advised more than 40 national and global companies, including Fortune 100 organizations and their international counterparts, on enterprise risk, cyber crises, and resilience strategies. She has also served as a crisis and breach advisor to senior executive leadership and relevant Board members of more than 25 global companies during live cyber crises.

She spent the first decade of her career with the U.S. federal government, focusing on high-risk intelligence, security, and counterterrorism operations overseas, including in war zones. Ria is an attorney licensed in New York and holds a J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center.
